A glass or two does you no harm,
Said the man from the house of
Grande Dame.
And this he should know
For the widow Clicquot
Made champagne oozing with charm.

There's no shortage of fine place to sleep and eat in La Champagne. Indeed, you are spoilt for choice. There are, of course, luxury hotels - some with Michelin-starred restaurants - as well as a wide selection of two and three star hotels, a number of which have excellent restaurants. Well-placed signs in cities and towns direct travellers to the hotels of their choice. Small towns and villages may also have a country inn. More often than not it will be a small restaurant with a few simple, inexpensive and sometimes basic bedrooms. Click a regional link below and see some of Philippe’s recommendations in each area.
